After a very quite April where all scheduled speedway Kart events were cancelled by the wettest month in what seems like 100 years, karters will get the opportunity to suit up and fire their machines into action this Saturday and Sunday the 17th &18th May at the Gosford Showground.
The committee of the Central Coast Speedway Kart Club have appointed veteran racer Les Green to assist with the organisation of a specific Speedway Kart Junior Development Day which has been planned and is ready to go on Saturday.
The day is open to all Cadet, Rookie and Junior AKA licensed drivers and is scheduled to take drivers thru all aspects of their Karting experience.
The committee has engaged a number of senior speedway kart drivers to mentor the children during the day passing on their vast knowledge of the sport.
The day will be broken up into both on track time and some lecture time in which the children and their parent/guardians will be exposed to a lot valuable information to assist their further development in their Karting.
The Club has a large number of sponsors who have generously donated prizes for the day which will be distributed to all the children.
Lunch is supplied for all participating drivers, and the cost for the day is only $40 and all are welcome.
If interested it is not too late, please contact the club via the website listed below .
Then once the drivers have completed the day what better way to put it all into practice at the race meeting being held on Sunday .
The meeting is the round 4 of the Central Coast Speedway Kart Club’s 2014 season and is the half way mark for drivers chasing championship glory.
All 8 classes will have strong fields competing and not only will the drivers be trying to achieve the round victory they will also be gaining important set up information for the upcoming Australian Speedway Kart Titles scheduled for the venue in September.
The meeting is open to all licensed AKA drivers and we encourage and welcome all drivers to come and give it a go, once you do you’ll be back. All details can be found at www.ccskc.com.au
