  • Karting NSW has been given approval to host a display at the annual Muscle Car Masters at Eastern Creek. An organising committee is to be established and both new and old karts will be on display at an event that attracts thousands of petrol heads every year.

  • Coffs Harbour Kart Club's annual Yamaha meeting has moved from 13/14 September to 1-2 November. The date change was required due to the Australian leg of the World Rally Championship running in Coffs on the September weekend. The club has consequently cancelled its November 9 race day.

  • Sebastian Vettel used the break in the Formula One calendar to go karting. TonyKart report the multi-world champion competed in a round of the German ADAC Championship at the circuit of Ampfing. Reports say the Red Bull driver raced for Michael Schumacher's KSM team, and that it was his first kart race for three years. To prepare for the outing, Vettal had earlier tested the Tony Kart/Vortex combinaton in Italy at the end of April, covering over 200 laps in wet and dry conditions at Lonato.
