Queenslander John Grother has unveiled a new look ahead of this weekend’s CIK Stars of Karting Championship presented by Castrol EDGE at South Australia’s Bolivar Raceway.

Grother has joined the Scuderia PCR Australia in the KZ2 class with the support from his personal supporter SABA Lawyers.

“The opportunity to join with PCR was a very enticing one, there are many opportunities that are on the horizon,” said Grother.

“I’m probably more enthused about my racing now than I have been for a number of years and really looking forward to get some good results throughout the coming years with Tommy Gallo and the team at PCR Australia.”

Having completed a significant amount of testing over the previous few weeks Grother believes he has already got a good grip on the characteristics of the PCR chassis.

“The PCR kart is one of the most responsive chassis to changes that I’ve ever driven.  It’s also not as physical to drive as some of the other brands I’ve driven, which is pretty important when you’ve been around as long as what I have,” said Grother.

“I am very excited to be a part of a great team and a brand that is rich in Australian karting history.”

The reigning Victorian Champion will continue to be guided by Tom Williamson Motorsport, who has been instrumental in Grother’s KZ2 success for the past 3 seasons.

All of the action on Sunday will be streamed live through Speedcafe.com from 9am AEST with a preview panel show being shown from 6:00pm AEST on Saturday evening
