  • Aussie Pierce Lehane carded 8th and 2nd in the two Senior MAX finals of the Super One Rotax series opener at Rowrah (UK) on the weekend. He had earlier qualified 4th fastest, one tenth off pole, and won the opening heat. Joseph Reilly (Strawberry Racing/Tony Kart) won both Finals. Lehane sits second in the series behind Reilly, with five rounds to go. The meeting featured standing starts, an experiment by the organisers that we hear generally met with positive response.

  • Another 'Son Of' hits the kart track! Reigning Bathurst 1000 champion Steven Richards was turning the spanners at the Gippsland Kart Club's April race day at Morwell on the weekend. It was his son, Clay's, debut kart race, competing as a P-Plater in Junior National Light.
