In 2013, GKCSA had a big year hosting the Nationals and many thanks for the great work the past committee put in to develop the facilities.

The New committee is continuing to develop the facilities and as the President says, “Our goal to develop a world class facility second to none”. Peter Fritz, the new President voted in back in August 2013 goes on to say, “We felt it important to show case the club at it’s best for such a important event such as the SA Open State Championship, so we worked hard in getting the change of dates from November to August, when conditions are optimal for karting. To have a facility that has eight different track layout possibilities with a track capacity of 44 is a fantastic asset and that can be utilized by different promoters for future events, each having their own draw card”.

Monarto is certainly looking to place itself on the map as a new and exciting complex. Within close proximity of areas, such as the famous Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills with exciting bed and breakfast locations. The ever increasing size of Mt Barker, as a regional city in itself has excellent shopping, and great amenities and restaurants, or a five minute drive from the track to the Regional Rural City of Murray Bridge.

For those that wish to fly in and drive, a simple forty five minutes drive up the freeway from the airport and you have arrived. With the SA Open State event being held at Monarto twice in the next three years, Club executives are laying the ground work to put Monarto Go Kart Complex in the forefront of Promoters minds for events into the future.
