The dominance of Hunter continued into the final as he took a comfortable lead early in the race, claiming the victory from a late charging Steve Ellery. With Ellery claiming his fastest time two laps from the finish, he managed to finish ahead of Hamish Leighton who completed the podium. Jason Pringle continued his dominance of DD2 into the final heat where he took victory from an improving Jaie Robson.
