  • Oakleigh Kart Racing Club will have a night practice session for Juniors, Rookies and Cadets next Wednesday the 15th. There will be a BBQ on the night. This offers a chance to run on the repaired surface prior to the Top Guns meeting, which itself is a perfect prelude to the Victorian Championships at the venue in March.

  • Two Officials' Training Courses will be run by the VKA next month. If you want to be a Steward/Clerk of Course or Technical/Scrutineering Officer at VKA race meetings in 2014, you must attend one of the training days to qualify. They will be conducted at the Mantra Tullamarine Hotel on February 1 and 2. Registration must be done by January 15. Further info HERE.

  • A couple of days ago, Karting NSW published an "end-of-year update" from AKA Ltd CEO Kelvin O'Rielly. The document summarises what's been happening in the past four months, plus various issues and developments in the sport - such as the appointment of a sixth Director to the Board. Former AKA Inc President Craig Denton filled the position on December 30. There will also be an AKA Leaders forum on Jan 31-Feb 2 to begin to outline the organisation's vision and "share our pivotal messages and start to
workshop our sporting review and development." O'Rielly's communication can be downloaded HERE. There is also a schedule of AKA fees for 2014, download it HERE.

  • JMAX DRIVERS! Junior Max is being offered at numerous events outside of the official Rotax Pro Tour series.
