today's karting quickies...

  • The 2014 Rotax Pro Tour is set to commence in Melbourne on January 24 to 26. A draft copy of the Supp Regs can now be viewed on the Rotax site HERE. Entry closes January 15.

  • The AKA National office closed at midday today for the Christmas and New Year break. It will re-open at 9am on Monday, January 6.

  • For the second year running, PSL Karting of Quebec, Canada, was named the number one CRG Distributor in the world. The organisation also claimed the honour in 2010.

  • Class announcement for Australian Vintage Kart Prix - The Big Bangers! Pan Pacific Cup for 107cc to 135cc singles (eg 135cc Formula K):


  • Speaking of the Vintage GP, organisers say there is a vintage kart team coming all the way from Brazil to participate at Ipswich.

  • Arnaud Kozlinski will race for Intrepid next year, returning to the brand for which he drove in 2006. A former driver with the likes of Sodikart, PCR, CRG and Birel, the 32-year old Italian has signed to be with the Intrepid Driver Program for two years. He will compete in the KZ class at Winter Cup, WSK, CIK Europe and the World titles.

  • Commencing in the New Year, Ipswich will host free training days for C & D grade Cadet/Rookie/Junior drivers each fortnight at the track:
