Qualifying Complete At SA Championships

Qualifying is complete for the 2013 South Australian State Championships at Bolivar Raceway.

Victorian Daniel Rochford stole the Clubman Light pole position from the grasp of James Sera when the multiple-time national champion elected not to partake in the second qualifying session. As a result, the pair will occupy the front row for the heat races.

In the battle of the young flyers, Western Australian driver Mason Patience led the field during qualifying in the Cadets category while recently crowned New South Wales Junior Clubman Champion Harry Hayek secured pole position in his favoured category.

15-time National Champion David Sera edged out veteran Jason Burns by a mere 0.002 seconds to claim the pole position in Clubman Heavy while Bundaberg’s Mason Barbera proved too fast in the Clubman Super Heavy ranks.

Local lad Leigh Cocker set the pace in Leopard Heavy while Andrew Mercuri was fastest in Leopard Light.
