Kinsmans Compete On Both Sides Of Tasman

press release 24 October 2013

KINSMAN SIBLINGS COMPETING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TASMAN THIS WEEKEND

For years now the Kinsman brothers, Mathew and Daniel, from Auckland have competed at the same kart meetings scross the country.  This weekend, however, 21-year-old Mathew will be racing on one side of the Tasman, 18-year-old Daniel the other.

The reason is that New Zealand's annual North and South Island title meetings, traditionally held over Labour Weekend, and the first round of the new cross-seasonal Rotax Pro Series in Australia fall on the same date.

So this weekend while Mathew defends his 2012 125cc Rotax Max Light class title at the North Island sprint championship meeting in Wellington, current New Zealand champion Daniel will be at the Albury/Wodonga track on the Victorian/New South Wales border contesting the opening round of Australia's 2013/14 Rotax Max Challenge Pro Tour.

The weekend marks a particularly busy period for the brothers who in early November fly to the United States to represent New Zealand at the annual Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final meeting in New Orleans.
