the easy way to keep up to date...

  • Rule addendum #2 has been issued for the SA State Championships at Bolivar on November 1-3. It refers to page 3 of the Supp Regs (classes): "Remove maximum kart weight 100kg from Open Performance Class." Addendum #1 was released earlier this month addressing various timetable and class issues. Links to both are now on the Race Calendar page.

  • IAME put a GoPro camera on a remote control helicopter and did a video from today's practice at the Lyon circuit. The 'copter goes over the track and tents and even through the pits - pretty cool!


  • Former Karting Magazine (uk) editor Mary-Ann Horley has launched a new weekly online publication about karting - The Purple Sector. It will mostly cover UK and European karting and will be available each Tuesday. Issue 1 is in PDF format on her site thepurplesector.com

  • William Yarwood is getting in to the spirit of the Race of Stars this weekend, running these Luke Lane designed custom graphics on his Project X Racing Exprit. God help anyone who donuts the sidepod!

  • One Australian karting star who will not be racing at the Race of Stars on the Gold Coast is Pierce Lehane. The Redspeed team driver will be at Valvoline Raceway on Saturday night having accepted an offer to race Terry King’s Dominator speedcar. More about that on the sydneyspeedway website HERE.

  • Superkarter Dalton Rowell waited 14 years to win his first Australian title — and then won two within a week. Report and pic on macarthuradvertiser.com.au HERE.
