10th Annual Robopong 200 and Yamaha Support Races

The 10th running of the Robopong 200 will take place on Sunday, October 27th with practice and qualifying on Saturday, October 26th at New Castle Motorsports Park.

The Robopong 200 is a 200 lap TaG endurance race around the 1.1 mile New Castle, Indiana sprint track. This year's event will include three Yamaha support races with Yamaha Sportsman, Yamaha Junior and Yamaha Senior.

For the past 9 events the Robopong 200 has pitted teams of 2 to 4 drivers against each other for one of the most exciting and demanding races in all of karting. This year's event will move that bar up another notch with the announcement that the Robopong 200 can be ran with a single driver! That's right, teams can now run a single driver for all 200 laps. For those new to the Robopong 200, the Robopong includes real time pit stops, driver changes, refueling and optional tire changes. It's a true test of driver and machine and requires team work during the pit stops. The winning Robopong team will receive $10,000!

Also new for this year's event will be the addition of Yamaha Senior to the support races. Last year Yamaha Sportsman and Yamaha Junior had great turnouts and incredible racing. The addition of Yamaha Senior this year should add even more excitement!

The Yamaha races will compete for money and prizes. The Yamaha classes will practice, qualify and run a prefinal on Saturday with the Final on Sunday morning before the Robopong 200. Drivers that are eligible by age to run more than one Yamaha class will be permitted to do so.

Optional practice is available for Robopong and Yamaha racers on Friday October 25th. All Robopong 200 and Yamaha class entries include a set of Bridgestone YLC tires in the proper size for that class.
