Ranked drivers will have 2 weeks to re-register.

On Monday 23rd September 2013 registrations will open to all other competitors and will follow the procedure of ‘first in, first served.’ Registrations will be processed in the order in which they are received by IKD.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are currently ranked but wish to CHANGE your class, you will have to wait until open registrations on Monday 23rd September to register for a different class. This includes drivers who are moving up from Junior classes to Senior classes.

Rotax Rankings

In 2008 IKD introduced the Rotax Rankings program. The intention of the Rotax Rankings is to provide a meaningful ranking of Rotax drivers in Australia within their class and ultimately provide a means for determining the drivers who may be invited to compete at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final each year.

Rankings will be administered for the Junior Rotax, Rotax Light, Rotax Heavy, DD2, DD2 Masters & JMax Trophy classes.

The events which are included in the Rotax Ranking are the Rotax Nationals & the Rotax Pro Tour. The ranking may include other events at the discretion of IKD.

* Please note that the Rotax Ranking for the Junior Max Trophy Class will not commence until Pro Tour 2 in January 2014. The Pro Tour 1 in Albury/Wodonga in October 2013 is excluded from the ranking for this class.

Prizes and 2014 'Team Australia'

The allocation of seats for the 2014 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final Team Australia are as follows;

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the Junior Max Rotax Ranking will be offered Junior Max seats
  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the Rotax Light Rotax Ranking will be offered Senior Max seats
  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the DD2 Rotax Ranking will be offered DD2 seats
  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the DD2 Masters Rotax Ranking will be offered DD2 Masters seats

* The winner of the Rotax Heavy class ranking no longer qualifies for the Grand Final team. The winner of Rotax Heavy ranking will win their choice of either a Senior Max engine or a DD2 engine.

In addition, the winner from each Pro Tour event (commencing from Pro Tour 1 and ending with the Rotax Nationals) will win $500 cash. The competitor who wins the $500 will have the option to gamble that at the next event. Back to back wins will score them a $2,000 cash prize.

* The winner of the Junior Max Trophy class ranking does not qualify for the Grand Final team. The winner of the Junior Max Trophy ranking will win their choice of either a Junior Max or Senior Max engine.

Manufacurers' Cup

In 2011 IKD introduced the Rotax Pro Tour Manufacturers Cup.

State of Origin Shield

In 2014 IKD will introduce the Rotax Pro Tour State of Origin Shield which will determine the best performing State for a Rotax ranking season.

Points are allocated for the 3 podium finishers at each of the Rotax Pro Tour and the Rotax Nationals events. The state of origin for the allocation of points will be the state in which a competitors AKA license is registered. Overseas competitors can also accumulate points for their country.

1st Place – 25 points
2nd Place – 20 points
3rd Place – 16 points
