  • With the asphalt still hot from the Rotax Nationals, this weekend will see the Eastern Lions Kart Club's annual Junior Sprint Classic at the Puckapunyal circuit. The club is putting on a Friday night 'Pizza & Pasta' dinner, followed by a 'Gala Banquet' on Saturday night. With limited seating, bookings are essential. Call Donna - 0401 196 476.   • Launceston Kart Club has announced a partnership with their local radio station, Chilli 90.1fm. The station will sponsor the control tower at the track, but more importantly for karting, information about each race meeting will hit the airwaves in the week leading up to the event. Free passes will also be given away to lucky listeners. The club has also signed GLB Constructions as the new sponsor of the fast sweeper approaching McDonalds corner.

  • Arrow has announced a team of drivers who will be representing the Australian manufacturer at the SKUSA Super Nationals in Vegas in November. The impressive lineup includes David Sera, Nick Rowe, Ben Stewart, Kip Foster, Nathan Davis and Matt Davis.

  • Sapphire Kart Club has received confirmation they can now run races in reverse (clockwise) direction. "Our next race meeting, this Sunday the 8th September, will be the first time we race clockwise and we would love to see everyone turn up and see how much different the track is" a club spokesperson informed KartSportNews. "It will be like racing on a completely new track." The club is also seeking feedback about which direction the Sapphire Cup should be run on November 4-5.

  • Max Verstappen wears a helmet cam during a street demo aboard his KZ CRG last month. Apparently, that's his dad, Jos, driving the Formula car.
