Speedway Goes Green This Weekend

press release 28 June 2013

The Revolution Rumble is set to get underway this Sunday at Nepean Raceway for round six of the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club championship. With the previous round being washed out, drivers are now shifting their focus towards club points as the championship moves into the second half of the season.

Daniel Sayre continues to lead the overall Club Championship, and after having recently won a State Title at Gosford, Sayre is hoping to continue his great run of form that has seen him streak away in Juniors.

Connor Moreau is looking to make it five from five this weekend in Cadets as he hopes to extend his series lead. He currently sits fourth in the overall Club Championship and with strong performances this weekend there is half a chance he may be able to climb up the ladder. Ethan Rietdyk sits second on the Cadets standings and will take the fight up to Moreau this weekend.

With Andrew Sayre absent this weekend, Kaidon Brown is hoping to gain a few extra points in his Rookies title campaign. Luke Geering is sitting closely behind in the standings and is going to be in amongst the contenders this weekend. After coming third in the NSW Title, Liam Camilleri will be shooting for his first win of the season at Nepean.

Clubman Light will once again be one of the categories to watch. Jake Baines enjoys a slight fifteen point margin on top of the standings, however Alana Onley will be chasing hard once again as she fights for her first round win of season 2013.

Les Green currently leads the standing in Clubman Heavy, however Matthew Elliot has taken two out of the four round wins so far and recently took third at the NSW State Titles. He will be trying to make it three round wins this weekend and be the first person in the class to go back to back.

He is coming off the back of recent State Title success and is hoping to add to an already successful 2013 season. Brad Cunneen and James Melling will both be hoping to score their first round wins of the season this weekend.

Racing kicks of this Sunday at 10am with three rounds of heats before a final. Nepean Raceway, on Rickards Road , Castlereagh is where you will catch all the action. All canteen facilities will be open and entry is only $5 for adults.
