Foster's Second State Title For 2013

press release 19 June 2013

Master Karting's Dean Foster won the 2013 Victorian State Championship in TaG 125cc Light at last weekend’s Round 3 of The CIK Stars of Karting Series held at The Geelong Kart Club.

Driving a 2013 Kosmic Mercury chassis powered by IAME X30 and Master Race Engines, he took out the 27-lap final. This gave him his second State Championship in as many attempts this year.

It was an extremely tough weekend as all race meetings are, but the weekend was made extra tough for Dean as he was suffering with the flu.

“It was an extremely tough weekend, as not only did I have to battle with many top competitors on track but also the flu. I even missed the first 3 session of official practice on Friday as I rested in an attempt to recover" Foster told KartSportNews.

"Sunday’s 27 lap final was hard work and I found myself making a few mistakes during the second half of the race due to fatigue, but I never gave up. It was all made worthwhile when I crossed the finish line.”

Dean would like to thank his dad David and mate Sean Skinner for all their hard work, Master Karting, Master Race Engines, Versatile Design, Remo Luciani from Remo Racing and everyone else who helped out.
