Two State Titles And A New Look For Saller

press release 11 June 2013

A return to the dirt for Sydneysider Michael Saller has brought with it ultimate success, as he claimed two state titles in both Clubman Light and Clubman Heavy in his home state of New South Wales in the recent Speedway championships after an eight month hiatus from the oval.

Some misfortune across the weekend had Saller looking to work his way through the field in the later races, and his determination paid off. Being 20kg over the minimum weight for the light category, he still managed to push through and take win despite a DNF during the heat races.

"It was an amazing weekend especially to walk away with two state titles, it was my ultimate goal for the event and I was able to achieve it, it’s a truly awesome feeling.

"After our DNF in heat three in Clubman Heavy, I knew things were going to be tough but I never lost faith, I just had to continue to push through and know that I had it in me to take the win," Saller said.

Saller admits much of his success has to be credited to his hard working team across the weekend.

"The Kart was amazing for the whole weekend, set up to a dime and the racing was so tough, I can’t thank the entire Saller Motorsport team enough, especially my father for his tireless efforts to get me to each event," Saller added.

In addition to his weekend’s successes, Michael was also able to announce a new partnership with Killer Image who will become responsible for the design of all of his Karts for future events.

"To be partnered up with Killer Image and Joel Goff is awesome, his work is incredible and I'm really happy to get
these two wins for him,” Saller concluded.

Goff is equally ecstatic at the opportunity to be working with one of the young guns in Australian Karting.

“Michael is a seriously talented driver, we are really happy to be working with him into the future,” Goff said.

Michael will now take part in the next round of the CIK Stars of Karting Series to be held this weekend in Geelong,
Victoria. Round three of the CIK Stars of Karting Series will take place at Beckley Park International Raceway, Geelong, Victoria from June 14-16.
