Busy Weekend On Both Islands

The Queen's Birthday long weekend will be a busy one for the new Zealand's KartSport competitors with major meetings on both Islands.

The KartSport Nelson and Marlborough clubs again host the popular Sunbelt series, now in its 28th year, at their tracks in Nelson on Saturday and Blenheim on Sunday, while in the North Island KartSport Taranaki hosts the annual Wellington Provincial Karting Association (WPKA) championship meeting at its track at Waitara on Sunday.

Over 70 entries from throughout the South Island - and some from the North - have been received for the Sunbelts meeting which this year also carry points for the new Mainland Kart Series.

Strong support has also bee received for the annual WPKA Championship meetings with entries from all over the lower and mid North Island region.
