  • The CIK will carry out strict noise checks during the European and World Championship events. “It has been noted that a vast majority of competitors do not run their KZ1 and/or KZ2 karts in accordance with the CIK noise regulations” the governing body has declared. “Anyone exceeding 108 dB will be penalised in accordance with the regulations.”

  • Congratulations are in order for Michael and Janine Patrizi on the safe arrival of their baby daughter. Emilia Hope Patrizi came into the world at 1.31am in the morning of Monday 29 April.

  • Latest AKA participation rates have been published on the AKA site HERE. They cover the first quarter of 2013 where there has been a 3% decrease nationally, although South Australia enjoyed a 28% increase.

  • The CIK-FIA has cancelled the 2013 CIK-FIA Karting Talent Trophy due to low entries. "Since none of the organisers are able to hold the 2013 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy as a single event, the CIK-FIA has to find a solution that will enable the 2013 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy to be integrated into three other CIK-FIA events." The new calendar for the CIK-FIA Academy Trophy is as follows:
    • 28-30.06.2013 Genk (BEL)
    • 19-21.07.2013 Ortona (ITA)
    • 20-22.09.2013 Varennes (FRA)
