Prokart NSW Endurance Championship- Round 3 Preview, Wollongong 1000

Who can stop Horsepower Racing? The third round of the NSW championship will be 1000 laps around the tight and technical track in the steel city of Wollongong and all of the teams will be attempting to put an end to the runaway team of Horsepower Racing who have a perfect score after two rounds.

Second in the championship, e-Wishing Well,  have them well in sight and look to have the pace to challenge however these two teams will have to fend off a close following group who are locked together in the championship. Those teams include Starkey Motorsport, Custom Decals and KBC Racing.

Wollongong is also the spiritual home of Prokart and there are plenty of teams who always go well ‘ at home’ and will see this as an opportunity for a win on home soil. Teams seen testing recently include Barts Karts & Parts, Horsepower 888 and Lifestyle Autos who are keen to make amends for their rough start to the season. The track traditionally throws up very hard and tight racing with the short lap and over 20 entries ensuring plenty of action at all times.

After the wet, wild and muddy weekend at Coffs Harbour for the last round competitors will be hoping for a dry race. All teams that made it to Coffs have been working very hard to prepare the karts back to a clean and sound condition and with 9 hours of racing if the track is dry there is plenty to play out as this championship continues its tight battle.
