Who Will Win The Masters?

press release 6 April 2013

Round 3 of the prestigious and highly competitive Club championship for the NSW Speedway Kart Club fires into action this Sunday at the Nepean Motorsport Complex as  drivers contest the 2013 “The Masters” race meeting.

The Club has had a stellar start to the 2013 season with two fantastic meetings already in the books - which is a stark contrast to last year when four washouts in the beginning of the year saw Club members not contest a race meeting until May!

The top five drivers in the championship are all from the junior ranks with two from Juniors, one Cadet and two Rookies leading the field, however the point scores, whilst early in the season, has already seen one driver starting to dominate.  Daniel Sayre, with two Round wins, clearly leads and if the form in which he is presently driving continues, it could well be that 2013 will be a great year for the Junior class driver.

This weekend will see the battle continue with all drivers competing on the high speed 400mtr track which provides competitors with perfect racing conditions, as has been evident at the two Rounds this season.

Last meeting saw a number drivers set new track records - Payton Coghlan in the Cadet class, Andrew Sayre in Rookies, Daniel Sayre in the Junior Combined class, Peter Styles in Clubman Heavy and Donald Stevens in the KT Modified class - all are now locked into the record books.

Can anyone go faster this weekend?

If you are a speedway fan and enjoy good quality racing, you need to come out to Castlereagh and watch the speedway stars of tomorrow learn their craft as they contest Round 3 of their 2013 championships.

"The Masters" race meeting is being held at the Nepean Motorsport Complex on Rickards Road, Castlereagh, with racing commencing at 10am.

Entry to the venue is $5 per adult to see 24 events and afterwards spectators are encouraged to stay and join in the celebrations of the day’s results.  The Club has a full canteen to assist you with all the food and drinks you require as you spend a lazy Sunday on the grass hill watching fantastic speedway action.

The NSWSKC would like to acknowledge and thank all their corporate partners for their continued support throughout 2013.
