  • rip colin grotherQueensland karter John Grother sadly reports the passing of his grandfather, Colin, after a short battle with cancer. He was 87.

"More commonly known simply as 'Pop', he was at almost every major Karting race over the past 21 years and was a major part of my life and I miss my best mate" Johnny G wrote on Facebook.

"Every lap I ever did was recorded by him on his trusty stopwatch and with perfect accuracy.

"But most of all I will miss the conversations we had about absolutely everything.

"Thank you everyone for the well wishes over the past few months after his short battle with cancer. Finally reunited with his love, my Grandma Jean."

    RIP 'Pop' Grother.
