Martin Heads For International Test As Part Of CIK PreparationTweetWest Australian teenager Anthony Martin will test in Italy for the factory Lenzo Kart team as part of his preparation for the 2012 CIK Stars of Karting series. Under the guidance of Team Principal, Mikele Lenzo, Martin will enjoy a guided tour of the factory before taking to the track. “I can’t believe I am going to be driving with the best in the World” Martin stated. "This is going to be a great experience for me and I appreciate the support from Mikele in allowing me to do the testing with the International Lenzo Race Team, in particular against fellow European factory teams in Lecce.” The Kalgoorlie driver is ecstatic for what lay ahead. “Without Mum and Dad I would not have had the opportunity to meet and drive with the World Champion in KZ2, Joey Hanssen, and to have him show me around the Lenzo factory" Martin said. "Then to actually test on their own track with him is just awesome. Not many kids get this opportunity.” Anthony will join the hotly contested Pro Gearbox KZ2 category in the CIK Stars of Karting Series as part of the Lenzo Kart Australia outfit. “I am looking forward to competing in the CIK Series this year with the Lenzo Team alongside the Nation’s best." Anthony will gain extra practice prior to the opening CIK round when he takes to the Wundowie Kart Track in WA on the February 11 as part of the State KZ2 Championship. The CIK Stars of Karting Series commences at Adelaide’s Bolivar Raceway on February 25 and 26.
