'Adrenalin Rush' Wins Coffs Harbour 6-Hour

press release

The Powered by Honda ProKart Australia ‘Coffs Harbour 6 Hour’ Endurance Kart Race was staged at the Raleigh International Kart Raceway, near Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast of NSW, last Saturday (August 23) and it was the Queensland based team of Adrenalin Rush Karting that took home the victory spoils.

A total of 22 teams started the ‘Coffs Harbour 6 Hour’ race and 21 teams managed to reach the finish line, in an event that was also the latest rounds for the National, New South Wales, and Queensland Championships in the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Endurance Kart competition.

The Adrenalin Rush Karting team was the favourites heading into the ‘Coffs Harbour 6 Hour’ as they qualified on pole position, and at the fall of the chequered flag they certainly didn’t let the form guide down.

Following the ever impressive Adrenalin Rush Karting team was the team of Wild Hogs Racing, which followed in three laps behind the leaders, and home in third, on the same lap as Wild Hogs Racing, was the Horsepower Racing team.

Throughout the ‘Coffs Harbour 6 Hour’ there were only two safety car periods, one for a team that had lost a wheel and the other for a team that had snapped a steering arm. Other than the two safety cars the racing from the start was very intense as all teams were eager to hustle for spots on the podium.

The best presented kart award for the round went to the Wollongong City Raceway Jets.
With only one round remaining of the National Championship the win looks to be going to the Team Kaos as they currently hold down a 90 point lead over their nearest rival team. The only way that Team Kaos may not take out the National Championship is if they happen to have a DNF during the final round. In second and third positions in the point standings are the Horsepower Racing and Adrenalin Rush Karting teams.

In the NSW Championship, Team Kaos are the leading team followed by the Wollongong City Raceway Jets and the Horsepower Racing teams in second and third.

The DQ International Racing team currently hold command in the Queensland Championship ahead of the PDS Grand Prix # 1 Racing and Adrenalin Rush Karting teams.

The next event for ProKart Australia will be the eighth round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia NSW Endurance Kart Championship that is set to take place on the weekend of September 20 - 21 with the running of the ‘Port Macquarie 6 Hour’ at the Pacific Park International Kart Racing Circuit (Port Macquarie on the North Coast of NSW).
