Aussie Drivers Named For IAME International Challenge

Remo Luciani has announced the six drivers that will make up the two Australian teams for the Leopard Enduro event in Spain on November 6-9. The teams are:

TEAM #1

TEAM #2

Ryan Sanderson (VIC)

John Grother (QLD)

Adam Hughes (VIC)

Lee Mitchener (VIC)

Grant Smith (VIC)

Brett Fortanier (SA)

“I feel confident with both teams of doing well because they are all mature, level headed guys, and this is what you need to win a six hour enduro" Remo said in his role of team manager for Remo Racing Team Australia.

Both Ryan Sanderson and Adam Hughes won their fully sponsored drives to compete at the 2008 IAME International Challenge after winning the ‘Loyalty’ and ‘Shootout’ draws at the 2007 Leopard Final Shootout. "Both have been loyal to Leopard classand they are both talented drivers and we welcome them to the team" Remo said.

"Grant Smith was hand-picked by me because he came straight out of juniors into Leopard Light and supported every meeting held in Victoria; he was also runner-up in the 2007 Victorian Leopard Series, so he has impressed me with his driving skills."

"I chose Lee Mitchener because he competed for 2 years in a row at every Victorian Leopard Series Round and Leopard Final. He has been loyal and supportive to the Leopard class and his dedication and efforts have not gone un-recognised."

"From day dot, John Grother has been supportive of Leopard Class and the Queensland Leopard Series and was chosen for this reason. He was the winner of the 2007 Queensland Leopard Series and has also won numerous races throughout the years and I thank him for his commitment. Welcome aboard."

"Brett Fortanier was chosen as he too has been a long time supporter of the Leopard Class.  He has won the South Australian Leopard Series including 2007.  His loyalty to Leopard has been very much appreciated, all the best in Spain."
