Gladstone Racer Wins Qld Leopard Series

Local Gladstone kart driver Cian Fothergill added another title to his name with victory in the Queensland Leopard Series final held at Cooloola raceway last Sunday.

The Central Queensland Series was over 4 rounds of intense racing with it all starting in Gladstone and travelling to Bundaberg, Rockhampton and the final round at Cooloola Coast.

Cian competed in the Leopard Light class and this was his maiden attempt with dominating the weekends racing by taking the fastest qualifying time and wining every heat and the final.

Other Gladstone racers in the Leopard Heavy class did themselves and their club proud, Jason Laverty, Denis Butler, Mike Powe and Roy Johnson competing with Mike Powell taking out the fastest qualifier in a quality field of racers.

The boys are now off to compete at the AUSTRALIAN FINAL SHOOTOUT held in Dubbo, NSW in October.
