Driver PR – Mathew Basso made his KA4 Junior Heavy debut over the weekend at the Australasian Kart Titles and picked up his second red plate at the event with victory.
Team/Driver PR – Fabcon Racing took a team of four drivers across three classes to the Rochester Kart Club on Saturday for the Golden Power Series shakedown event.
Driver PR – Archie Bristow made his first ever trip to the Rochester Kart Club over the weekend in preparation for the Golden Power Series round. Despite having never turned a lap prior to qualifying, he was able to take victory.
Team PR – Pro Karting took a team of eight drivers to the final round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship at Newcastle over the weekend, but a lack of pre-event testing hindered their progress.
Driver PR – Having not been to the circuit since he was a Cadet, City of Melbourne Titles winner Kristian Janev finished inside the top ten of X30 at the AKC finale on the weekend.
Driver PR – Nose cone penalties played a big part in KZ2 at the AKC final round last weekend, but despite this, Reece Cohen ended up having a strong final in Newcastle.
Driver PR – On his first trip to the challenging Newcastle circuit, Cadet 12 racer Aiden Schweikert got plenty of practice passing karts in an up and down AKC weekend.
Driver PR – Chadd Moore made his maiden visit to the Newcastle Kart Club circuit for the final round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, competing in the premier KA2 Junior class.
Driver PR – In just her second year of karting, Australian Kart Championship rookie Zara Horn set specific goals for her 2022 campaign. After the final round, she was happy with her progress.
Driver PR – On his second visit to the Newcastle circuit in three weeks, Jett Kocoski contested the KA2 Junior category at the AKC final, but wasn’t feeling the best all weekend.
Driver PR – Having shown excellent pace at the venue three weeks earlier, Daniel Quimby returned to the Newcastle Kart Club over the weekend for the 5th and final round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship.
Driver PR – Despite not achieving the win at the final AKC round he was aiming for, Jack Beeton had other important news to reveal – a spot in the Ferrari Junior Driver Academy Camp in Malaysia next month!
Driver PR – A snapped axle in one of the heat races ruined Max Chudasko’s chances of a strong result in TaG 125 at the final round of the Australian Kart Championship on the weekend.
Driver PR – Going in to the final round, 15-year-old racer Alex Ninovic was trailing the KA3 National Champion, Jace Matthews by 3 points. But it didn’t take the Sydneysider long to start turning that around.
