Track Improvements at Warwick

press release 21 April 2017

After consultation with both Karting Australia and Karting Queensland, the Warwick Kart Track has approval for some track upgrades.

Taking a leaf out of F1, turn 1 run off will now be hot mix bitumen. This allows drivers the ability to brake and regain control of the kart if contact of karts occurs and hopefully allows the driver to continue in the race.

This will also incorporate a new in-grid ‘Pit Lane’ which allows off-line entry into the pit area; time to slow the kart and generally a safer grid area for all.

This project is being fully funded by the Warwick Kart Club, to benefit the whole karting community.

We look forward to the continued support of the wider karting community.

Thanks to KA & KQ, for their help and support. Work is under way.
