The Superkart Club of WA ran the annual Collie Grand Prix meeting at the Kostecki Motorplex last Saturday, the 26th.

Brett Burvill was top scorer in the 250cc International Superkart class. Clutch problems for Paul Clark saw Burvill's only competition reduced, until the final heat when an engine seizure caused him to coast over the finish line running on only one engine. In the meantime, Brett in the #3 machine set the offical track record for Collie at a blistering 00:45.287.

Zack Needham won Junior MAX, but Melinda Sully kept the boys honest and working hard for their places. A few unfortunate DNFs stopped her from being higher up the standings.

It was a welcom return to racing of Warren Mellor in the 125 Gearbox category. After sustaining serious injuries, he showed he had lost little ability or speed to secure second place behind Jason Wroth.

Senior National witnessed extremely close competition between two old rivals, Mal Ballard and Robert Vassallo, with neither giving an inch throughout the whole competition.
