Launceston Drivers Dominate Tassie State Titles

Five state titles were awarded to Launceston Kart Club members after a great weekend of racing at the North Western Kart Club over the weekend.
The Launceston drivers were lead by Tate Frost who added to his 2015 Junior Clubman title with wins in KA4 Junior Light and KA3 Junior. The Westbury speedster also claimed a 2nd in KA4 Junior Heavy to round out a very impressive state title.

Youngster Toby Callow claimed his maiden Championship win in Cadet 9 after clean sweeping Qualifying and heats races before dominating the 26 lap final.
Not to be out done by his little brother, Jackson Callow also claimed his maiden state title with a big victory in KA4 Senior Sportsman.
Troy Stone rounded out the local victories when he took home his first blue plate in TaG 125 Heavy.
Launceston Kart Club President Stuart Lee said the weekend results were a true testament to the club members who had put in the time and effort required to win a state title. In addition to winners the Launceston Kart Club was well represented with many placegetter including: Mitchell Kerrison (2nd) KA3 Junior, Alastair Lee (2nd) TaG 125 Heavy, Zane Wyatt (2nd) KA3 Senior Heavy, Ollie Richardson (3rd) Cadet 9, Lochie Dalton (3rd) KA4 Junior Heavy, Andrew Lee (3rd) TaG Restricted Light, Steven Wrigley (3rd) TaG 125 Heavy.

In all, seven state titles remained in Tasmania with North Western Kart Club members Brody Appleby and Shane Stonehouse also claiming championship victories in TaG 125 Light and TaG Restricted Heavy respectively.
The remaining state titles in Cadet 12, KA4 Junior Heavy, TaG Restricted Light and KA3 Senior Heavy all went to mainland drivers.
