Planning Underway For 2017 WA KZ Series

  16 October 2016

The 2017 WA KZ Series is taking shape with the announcement that long-time major sponsor FMA Motorsport will again step up to support the class.

A new organising committee (Peter Newland, Daniel Currey, Hayden Patrizi, Andrew Freeman and Paul Williams) has been assembled to bring some new ideas to the table.

Most of them have been kart racing since their junior days and are dedicated to putting a series together that drivers from all over Australia will want to come and race.

Committee member Paul Williams is upbeat about the 2017 season.

"Cant Wait! The new blood we have in the committee has been great. We are going to have the best prizes on offer that would rival any series in Australia.

"Numbers have been down a bit this year but we expect them to climb again next year and probably attract a few eastern state drivers again.

"Our series has always prided itself on its laid back and professional feel. When we race, we bring crowds to the fence and that's how we like it and how the competitors like it - racing hard against the best!"

Series dates and circuits are currently being organised - expect an announcement later in the year.
