National Festival of Superkarts

press release 5 August 2016

As the countdown to the 2016 National Festival of Superkarts at Phillip Island on August 20-21 continues, the entries have been coming in from all states and across all classes.

This will be the first event since 2014 when classes of Superkarts were separated and the first time in 10 years at Phillip Island. Excitement is building with entrants talking up the opportunity to run TWO classes or watch another class racing due to the split classes on track.

It is also the most cost effective event held with drivers receiving entry, garage space and 2 days of meals for $450.00. Meals will be available in the now famous “Drivers Lounge” which has become a meeting place for all the drivers to relax between races.

With 5 x 250 National and 8 x Stock Honda entries in already, along with 15 x NGB entries as well, it looks like being the race meeting everyone has been looking forward to. Multiple entries from QLD, NSW and SA will make this a truly national gathering.

As far as any negative media and info that has been going around, the organisers would like to assure all the entrants that the event will be going ahead and will provide fantastic racing for all that attend. As is stated in the sup regs:

“There will be no sheep stations, gold plates or large cheques! This event is racing for the sake of racing, it is all about providing an entry to Motor Racing.”

This is about getting all the Superkart classes, supporters, sponsors, families and friends back to an event that can be enjoyed by all that attend.  We will all know who is 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each class over the weekend and they will take home a trophy for their efforts.

The Victorian Club in their 40th year are proud to be Hosting an event that will showcase our sport as a whole group.

Don’t leave it till the last minute or listen to rumours of what the event will or will not be in organising your entry and accommodation.

The only ones to profit from a great meeting will be the Club Members themselves.
