Smokin' Joe Does It Again

press release 27 May 2016

Straight off the recent success of 3 victories at the Ken & Ces Memorial in Perth, South Yunderup Dirt kart racer “Smokin” Joe Chalmers backed up his results with 2 state title wins in SA.

Joe and his Team BCM team mates headed to South Australia to contest the very competitive South Australian State title at the Tatiara kart Club in Bordertown in SA.

Joe competed in 4 classes for the weekend and brought home two state titles in the KT Mediums & 200 Open class. He also finished 4th in his two other classes of 125 lights & 100 Opens.

He convincingly won the ever competitive KT Medium class by a large haul of points in a field of 39 & won the 200 Open class by 1 point over veteran Michael Burford who pushed Joe hard till the end.

Joes success on the track is a tribute to his hard work off the track as he continues to strive to better his karting skills with his daily training and driver tuition from a former multiple national title winner.

Joe will now regroup and head towards the next blue ribbon even at the Alice Springs Karting Club in Alice Springs NT on July 9 & 10 which is one of his favourite events on the Dirt Racing calendar.

Meanwhile in WA Joe and the rest of the Team BCM crew will compete at the Dirt Trackers Kart Club in Wellard, Great Southern Kart Club in Wagin & Busselton kart Club preparing for a busy schedule leading up to the Australian Title in September/October 2016.
