Monds To Get New Part

  29 March 2016

Well known karting identity Graeme Monds will soon be fitted with a new part to restore performance.

If all runs to plan, Monds will receive a new kidney this Thursday at Monash Clayton. Fellow Gippsland Go Kart Club member Leonie Curley is the donor.

"The Gippsland Go Kart Club would like to wish the pair of them a speedy recovery and hope to see them trackside very soon" the club posted on Facebook.

Monds, who was born with only one kidney, had the organ fail on him last year. Despite having to scale back his activities (eg, Clerk of Course for the Rotax Pro Tour), he and wife Jeanette were still regulars at the kart track. In fact, over the last few days Graeme still attended the annual Easter Sprintcar Trail!

I'm sure everyone in the karting community will join me in wishing them all a fast and complete recovery.
