AKRA has been forced to move its inaugural Easter Kart Nationals from Orange to Eastern Creek.
The organisation's Troy Boldy said a "temporary hiccup" means they will need to wait until later in the year to compete at the rural NSW venue, possibly for a NSW State championship meeting.
Delays in acquiring a track licence from the NSW Office of Sport & Recreation led to the change. Eastern Creek already has such a licence which allows non-KA sanctioned events to take place.
"A big thank you to Garry Holt and Anna-Louise Kubelka for making room on Eastern Creek Karts' schedule for us karters over Easter" Boldy said.
The March 25-27 event will use Eastern Creek's 1024m configuration. Race format will stay the same - Friday practice, Saturday qualifying and heats, Sunday Finals.
"We have entries coming from local NSWs drivers, Victoria, Queensland and the Open boys from WA - now that class will be exciting!" Boldy added.
All five Yamaha classes have an $850 prize pool (1st $500, 2nd $250, 3rd $100) and Victorian F100 racer Vas Filips is sponsoring the Formula 100 class.
