CompKart Australia Adds To Dealer Network

Compkart Australia is pleased to confirm Newcastle based, ‘The Kartworks’ as the newest addition to their distributor base, focussing on both the Rotax Pro Tour and Australian Kart Championship.

Run by former DD2 competitors Nathan and Scott Taylor, the partnership with ‘The Kartworks’ will begin with Jack Childs behind the wheel in Mini Max at this weekend’s Pro Tour event in Warwick.

Compkart Australia Team Principal, Steve Macken is excited to see the Compkart brand growing further into the Australian karting market via ‘The Kartworks’ and is looking forward to the expanded team making their debut this weekend.

“On behalf of the entire Compkart Australia team, I’d like to send a very big welcome to Scott and Nathan (Taylor) and the team at ‘The Kartworks’. We have already had a great response through the shop for the Compkart brand from customers in the Newcastle region and it’s fantastic to see the Compkart Australia network continuing to grow.”

“We have made a great start to the racing season, there is a big year ahead however the team have laid some good foundations for success both in the Rotax Pro Tour and Australian Kart Championship (AKC). I’m looking forward to building on these results this weekend and seeing the Compkart drivers back on the podium in Warwick,” Macken said.

‘The Kartworks’ Nathan Taylor is looking forward to kick-starting the new association at this weekend’s second round of the Rotax Pro Tour in Queensland. Being a new business on the Australian Karting scene, Taylor is keen to utilise the expertise amongst the Compkart Australia team as a means to further develop his on team and the development of their karts throughout the year.

“The Kartworks is happy to join with Compkart Australia and work to achieve some great success both for the brand and for us a dealer. The team achieved some great results last year and have started 2016 in fine style so I can’t wait to get some support and move my team forward.”

“I’m looking forward to working with Steve (Macken) to build a strong working relationship and to push the Compkart brand further into racing here in Australia. We have Jack Childs in Mini Max at the Rotax Pro Tour, also Hudson Heath at various rounds, with more drivers to be announced at the AKC and also in the future Rotax Pro Tour rounds,” Taylor said.

The next major event for Compkart Australia is round two of the 2016 Rotax Pro Tour that takes place at the Sandy Creek Raceway, Warwick, QLD from February 26-28.
