Rookie Series Driver Sends Big Warning to Field

press release 17 February 2016

The 2016 “Cool Drive Junior Super Series” has a number of new drivers in the field, joining drivers who competed in the series last year.

One such driver is Brayden Shute who, in his first competitive drive in the junior class, sent a clear warning to the series drivers that he is a big contender to take out this year’s title.

Last Sunday the 14th February at the Nepean Motorsport Complex located in Sydney’s west, the Cool Drive Junior Super Series was launched for 2016  just prior to round 1 being conducted.

The field of drivers for 2016 were introduced to the spectators on hand along with representatives from the many wonderful sponsors who have come on board to support this year’s series.

Whilst the day was very hot (40 degrees) the action on track from the 17 entries was even hotter with some spectacular displays of speedway driving skills.

With the large field assembled the heat racing was nothing short of superb with heat wins going to Zak Blanch, Andrew Sayre and Brayden Shute.

The feature race was taken out by Brayden with Andrew following him home in 2nd place and Luke Geering made it home in 3rd place.

Once the final chequered flag had fallen for the day events , the points were tallied and the round awards were presented in front of a large crowd assembled to witness the victors.
