Josh Denton Tests F-BMW

press release 30 November 2015

Josh Denton from Cockatoo Valley in South Australia has taken the next step in his motorsport career by testing with South Australian Based BRM in preparation for an open wheel future in 2016.

“This was a great opportunity for me to develop my skills and understanding of a modern wings and slicks car. I had a fantastic time and progressed throughout the day achieving the benchmarks set by my engineer. Team BRM worked with me to make the transition as easy as possible given that I had never driven a car with a clutch and gearbox before” stated Josh.

Vince Bunn from TMM Global and Healthy Coffee Australasia who was instrumental in putting the day together had this to say “Josh is a fantastic young talent and showed that he has the ability to take the next step in his motorsport career. He worked methodically to ensure he gained the maximum out of the day and we are pleased to assist him in any way that we can.”

Josh has had great success in 2015, qualifying on pole and dominating round two of the Australian Championships in the KF-Junior class, showing exceptional speed and leading races in the ultra competitive Junior Max class, winning the South Australian Junior Clubman State Championship and wrapping up the ultra competitive Festival State Cup in Junior Clubman.

Josh was given the opportunity to attend the CAMS Junior Academy Development Camp where he was able to show his development over the past 24 months having attended an AIS camp and the previous years development camp. Josh was very fortunate and proud to represent Karting Australia on the grid of the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Josh is currently finalizing his plans for 2016, which will be announced shortly.
