Karters from around Australia will converge on the Launceston Kart Club this weekend to compete in the 2015 Tasmanian Kart Championship.
Event: 2015 Tasmanian Kart Championship.
When: Friday 20th Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November.
Where: Launceston Kart Club, Pipers River Road Turners Marsh.
Major Sponsor: Hadspen Excavations.
Drivers aged from 7 to 70 will be competing for a coveted Blue Plate. The Blue Plate signifies them as a State Champion and with this on the line the action is sure to be thick and fast.
The committee of the Launceston Kart Club have been working overtime to have the facilities looking top notch for the Championship with major sponsor John Lee from Hadspen Excavations providing much needed assistance to the club.

27 mainland competitors are set to join the 100 Tasmanian drivers with a number of locals looking to either add another title to the resume or take their first state title.
Leading the Launceston Kart Club drivers will be Zane Wyatt who will be competing in Clubman Heavy, Nathan Zuj will also be keen to grab another championship on Sunday when he competes in X30 Light. Other LKC members who will be in contention are Troy Stone, Johnathan Males, Jamie Bricknell, Dillon Van Galen and Alastair Lee.

The Junior drivers of the Launceston Kart club are well represented with Junior Clubman having no less than nine members competing, with any one of these able to take victory in the final. The Cadet classes for kids aged 7 to 10 are also well represented with Jake Delphin and Toby Callow looking strong for a podium finish.
Competitors in the senior classes commence on Friday with practise and qualifying with Juniors starting on Saturday morning. Three heats and a 21 lap final to be held for all classes over the three day race weekend.
Entry to the race meeting is FREE with full canteen facilities available.
