Stack For Black In Vegas

  3 November 2015

It was a case of ups and downs for the two Australians competing at the US Open in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Jack Black crashed out of the Senior MAX final while Reece Cohen enjoyed a couple of heat wins in Junior MAX.

Black was thrown from his kart in the Senior MAX Final, bringing out the red flag.

"When we seemed to have really good speed early in the 25 lap final I hit the wall hard on the exit of turn 3 which threw me out of the kart and into the air and then slid along the ground for 20 meters and then ran over while I was on the ground" Jack wrote on Facebook.

After qualifying a solid 7th, Jack carded heat results of 19th, 20th, 15th and 8th.

Reece Cohen (winner of the Pro Tour Trophy class) qualified an excellent 4th in Junior MAX before taking heat results of 4th, 1st, 1st and a DNF. He was eventually classified fifth in the Final.
