keeping karters informed for over 10 years...

  • Proof that karting is for all ages - South Australian karter Jack Cole celebrated his 90th birthday last Friday, then went racing at the Mount Gambier circuit in celebration! Jack is pictured below with two of the club's youngest racers, Parker Scott and Brock Fewins, who also competed at the weekend's race meeting.

  • James Courtney talked to AutoAction about how things are progressing with JC Kart and why lots of V8 drivers are 'having a skid' in karts again. Read it on the AA site HERE.

  • Courtney has also revelad that Jason Faint and Ryan Suhle will pilot JC Karts at upcoming World Championship events. Faint will compete in the International KZ2 Super Cup at the KZ World Championships at LeMans on September 10-13. Suhle will race KF-Junior at La Conca's Junior Wold Championships two weeks later, September 24-27. "Jason has competed in Europe previously but this will be Ryan's first race internationally" Courtney told AutoAction.

  • Victorian Superkart Club has posted an update on the condition of Nathan Pryor who endured a big off on Sunday at Phillip Island. "Nathan spent the night in hospital for observation and has returned home. Nothing was broken (except the kart), he is only bruised. Nathan would like to thank you all for your concern, and to the people who took care of his gear." - VSKC

  • With the recent news that CAMS will buy the Shannon Nationals series (see AutoAction HERE) comes news from speedcafe that Cameron McConville will succeed Rob Curkpatrick as the manager of the series when CAMS takes over in 2016 (see speedcafe HERE). Why is this on KartSportNews? Because the Shannon Nationals has played host to very successful two-round Australian Superkart Championships for the gearbox classes over the past few years. CAMS has previously announced it will not sanction a national championship for Superkarts in 2016. But that doesn't mean there won't be one...

  • Kartworks in Newcastle has recently been named as a new dealer for the Ricciardo Kart range. Nathan and Scott at Kartworks already have Ricciardo's stock in the showroom.

  • The event below at the Newcastle kart track is the brainchild of 13 year old Maddie Hill. Help her spread the word and support this fundraiser. Gates will open from 9am:

  • Have you voted on yesterday's poll? We're giving karters the chance to have a say and the first poll asks "should every class in the rule book have a National Championship contested?" It will remain open for a couple more days - click HERE and vote before it closes! We plan to have a new poll each day for the next week or so. Make your opinion count!

  • The 4th round of the WA KZ Series will run at the prestigious King of the Hill meeting at Wundowie on August 29-30. The West Australian KZ Committee inform us that 30 KZs are set to line up. Can Bayley Mickler hold on to his championship lead from current Australian sensation Jake Klarich? The meeting is expected to attract over 230 competitors, so there should be some great racing!

  • Vintage roadshow in Queensland:
