Paolo De Conto has been exceptional on the ever quicker CRG Dark Rider 32mm chassis, dominating hands down the shifter category DD2, putting in a “clear round” that did not leave any room for rivals: quickest in qualifying, winner of all heats, dominator of Prefinal and Final.

Thanks to these excellent results, De Conto installed himself in second place of the standings and now is ready to charge in the two final races of the Rotax Euro Challenge, to be held next 26 July in Wackersdorf (Germany) and 6 September in Genk (Belgium).

A good result in DD2 was also obtained by the Russian of CRG Igor Mukhin, who has been competing for the Master classification, where he ended second as he was 13 absolute in the Final being proceeded in the absolute standings by his team mate, the German Luka Kamali, who has been quite brilliant for the whole weekend but missed out on the final charge due also to the high competitiveness shown by all drivers in the final stages. This result confirmed Mukhin on top of the Master classification.

SENIORS: A SUPER VAN DER LAAN!

In Seniors, a great result was put in by the young Spanish driver Mauricio Van Der Laan, who comes from Junior. In the Final, he obtained a great fifth place leading team mate Harry Webb on CRG KT2 chassis, as the latter completed a great comeback race started from the 20th place of the Prefinal and the 28th after the heats. Unfortunately, the other British driver of CRG, Edward Brand, missed out on taking the podium, after a stunning Prefinal ended in fifth place. At the start of the Final, in the melee of the first corner, Brand was hit by a rival and spun. Rejoined in last position, he recovered up to P12 thanks to a string of fast laps, earning 41 very precious points.
