press release 2 June 2015

Hoping for Blue Skies for this Blue Ribbon Event

After it’s humble beings 17 years ago at Appin in NSW where the presentation took place on the side of the race track, the NSW State Speedway Kart Titles have grown to be one of the most prestigious race meeting of the speedway Kart Calendar each year and one that all drivers long to win.

This coming June Long weekend, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th, will be the 18th running of this wonderful event and this year the event is proudly being hosted by the Central Coast Speedway Kart Club and is being  held at the Gosford Showground.

The event this year is being supported by one of the clubs long term corporate partner, Davistown RSL Club and all the club members and participating drivers would like to thank them for their ongoing support of the Central Coast Speedway Kart Club.

It has been a shocking start to the speedway kart season for the CCSKC with Mother Nature cancelling no less than 3 race meetings. However as the drivers entered into this race meeting hope for blue plate glory they are also praying for blue skies above so this what is promised to be a great race meeting can go ahead.

The entries for the event are coming in fast and at the time of writing it is expected that at the end of the weekend 8 new class State Champions will be crowned.

If you haven’t entered yet or there is a driver thinking wow I would like to race that event , entries close on the Thursday 4th June. Already this event has attracted some drivers from the tar who are going to see what getting dirty is all about.

The action starts on Saturday at 9:30am and will see drivers contest 3 qualifying heats gaining as many points as they can for that all important pole position in the final event. Then on Sunday the drivers and teams will return to run their last chance qualifying heat starting at 9:30am, before then lining up for the respective NSW State Title races.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to see speedway karts before why not come out to the Gosford Showground on Saturday or Sunday and watch this spectacular event.

Full canteen facilities available during the two days and Saturday evening for all food and drink needs.
The meeting is open to all licensed KA (Karting Australia) drivers and we encourage and welcome all drivers to come and give it a go, once you do ... you’ll be back!
