  • AGV has announced a new fast tinting visor system. Launced at Switzerland’s annual motorcycle expo last month, AGVisor uses a thin LCD layer that switches between clear and full tint almost instantly by the press of a button. Other brand's photo-chromatic visors change according to the amount of sunlight, but do so in a much slower fashion. When used in tinted mode, the helmet's built in battery will last for around 12 hours. The visor could solve the drama of having to switch from tinted to clear visor at twilight races, but for an expected retail price of around $300AUS plus shipping (as an Australian release has not been mentioned), it's probably cheaper just to have two visors!

  • Onboard lap of Sarno (I) with Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart/Vortex):

  • Karting Australia is running an officials' training course in Canberra on May 2. People wishing to become a graded official, or require a refresher, should contact the club. The course will be held in the club rooms starting at 1pm.
