Hollis & DPE Look for Victorian Championship Succcess

press release 19 February 2015

This weekend will see the start of a four race meeting partnership between 13-year-old Lara teenager, Dylan Hollis and Australian kart chassis manufacturer, DPE Kart Technology.

Hollis, who will take to the Junior Clubman class this weekend aboard the new Arrow X4, hopes to continue his run in the class he enjoyed so much success in during 2014.

“It's going to be great to work with David Sera again and I’m really looking forward to help push the Australian brand against the strong European presence in the class," said Hollis.

"Being my home track, I have quite high expectations on myself, but I know that as long as I give it my best, I’ll tick all the boxes I need to come Sunday afternoon."

It will be Hollis' second major event for the year after getting underway strongly at the Rotax Pro Tour at Todd Road.

"We have started the year really strong at the first round of the Rotax Pro Tour as a part of the IPK team, and I’m really looking forward to continuing that success this weekend," Hollis added.

After racing this weekend in the Arrow X4, Hollis will switch back to the Deadly Kart - named after 17 time National Champion David Sera - for the second round of the State Championship.

"Dylan has been a fantastic ambassador for Deadly Karts in our first year - he won our first ever national title in Newcastle and will remain synonymous with the brand," said Sera.

"It's great to see him back in green, we couldn't be happier to join forces with Dylan and Shamick Racing later on this year."

The Victorian State Championship series will be held over four rounds - the Geelong Kart Club this weekend, then Go Kart Club of Victoria, Oakleigh Kart Club and the final round to be held at Puckapunyal.
