Junior Super Series for Speedway Karters

  9 February 2015

Organisers have attracted 16 sponsors to the new 'CoolDrive Junior Super Series' for speedway karters.

The series, set to start on February 22, will see contracted drivers compete over several rounds at three tracks, with the finale to be under lights.

"The Series hopes to raise the profile of all Junior Speedway drivers and will pride itself on the promotion of the drivers and their sponsors" organisers wrote.

Drivers/teams will be required to secure one of the limited available spaces in the series by becoming a contracted driver. They have until February 15 to contact the organisers, which can be done via email to Scott Donaldson at anitajaned@optusnet.com.au

There is a series launch planned for Wednesday February 18 where all the teams and drivers will be revealed prior to the opening round at Gosford Showground the following Sunday.

Series Sponsors

Organisers constructed a four-tiered system to allow businesses to select the level of support that they felt would best suit them. Prospective sponsors were able to chose from a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze packages.

The Series organisers - Scott Donaldson, Wayne Walker and Wayne Baines - were nervous as to how it would be accepted but are now overwhelmed by the 16 organisations and businesses that have taken up an offer.

The two Platinum Level sponsors that have joined the series:

  • CoolDrive Distribution (series' Naming Rights sponsor)
  • C&A Mobile (Victory Lane sponsor)

The Gold Level sponsors that have come on board are a mix of businesses that have speedway and karting ties:

  • INOX Supreme Lubricants (sponsoring the Feature Winner Award which will be awarded at each round of the Series)
