North West Karters Take Out TaG @ Twilight Thunder

FT Guy Bodyworks Twilight Thunder at Launceston
TAG Feature:Jade Waddington from the North Western Kart Club took the win in TAG 125 Light. The race was a battle of three at the start with Waddington, Brody Appleby and Alastair Lee heading the field early.
A red flag stoppage when Appleby and Waddington tangled on lap 8 of the 15 lap final resulted in Appleby rolling his kart and requiring minor medical assistance. This regrouped the field and on the ensuing restart Waddington was able to hold out Lee with Matthew Distill rounding out the podium.

TAG 125 Heavy was also won by a North West karter with reigning state champ Jake Rice taking the win from the Launceston duo of Troy Stone and James Fitch. Early pace setters Jeff Dickson and Jake Morris both failed to finish the final due to mechanical dramas.
Open Performance was also on the programme with Launceston's Aiden Shelton dominating the final aboard his KZ shifter kart. Second went to Jake Rice with Jade Waddington third.
Other results saw Jackson Callow winning both Junior National Light and Junior Performance; brothers Keenan and Johnah Slater battled all day in Senior National Light with Keenan taking home bragging rights; Alastair Lee dominated Senior National Heavy winning the final comfortable from James Pinfolds; Johnathan Males held out Adrian Harper in Masters Pro; another reigning state champ also took victory with Ethan Wyllie winning Cadet 12 and Launceston's Jake Delphin taking the honours in Cadet 9.
