  • Supp Regs for round one of the 2015 Rotax Pro Tour National Series have been released. The event takes place at Todd Rd from January 22 to 25. Click HERE for the PDF. Pre-entries close Monday Jan 19.

  • tilloston 100 yearsRemo Luciani has invited the Tillotson Company to attend Australia's very first race meeting for the IAME KA100 REEDJET engine (which utilises a Tillotson carburettor). As such, Tillotson Product Engineer David Keary will be trackside with Remo at Oakleigh's Junior Top Guns meeting on Friday 16 & Saturday 17 January.

    "David will be on hand for Trade and for Karters who are interested to learn more and understand the workings of this simple yet great performing Carburettor" Remo said. While in Australia, David will spend much of his time at the Remo Racing headquarters.


  • Important information about the Brian Farley Memorial (via NSKC)...

    A number of classes have changed, however special permission from Karting Australia has been received to run the Brian Farley race. Previously known as Clubman Pro, it is now listed on CMS as Brian Farley Sportsman. It will still be Yamaha only and 150kg. (Note: For those told by KNSW to re enter Clubman Light or Heavy, this was a mistake. Please re-enter Sportsman) All other categories have now been opened up as Light and Heavy classes as per Karting Australia Rules. Classes are thefore now as below:
    • Brian Farley Sportsman (150kg and Yamaha only)
    • Cadet 9
    • Cadet 12
    • JMAX
    • Junior National Light
    • Junior National Heavy
    • TAG Light
    • TAG Heavy
    • TAG Restricted Light
    • TAG Restricted Heavy
    • Clubman Light (Yamaha and IAME KA100)
    • Clubman Heavy (Yamaha and IAME KA100)



  • Sydney-based karting veteran Jason Varley will travel to Sepang for the first race on the Asian calendar, the 2015 Rotax Invitational, on January 24-25. Varley will compete in Senior MAX for fellow Aussie Josh Hunt's new Energy Corse Asia team.

  • Vintage karting in South Australia continues to grow and a vintage gathering will be held at Mt Gambier on 20, 21 and 22 February. "South Australia has a strong history in karting. Victoria Engineering made the Velsa Spitfire back in the 1960s, HKS made many fine karts and evolved into Benson Racing Karts, a few Edwards bits and pieces have been made over the years and Excell karts, excelled in the 80s and 90s" the VKC of SA has on their website. "Vintage Karts South Australia is a group of like minded people who restore and drive old karts. Feel free to join in and follow" - http://vkcsa.org.

  • ekartingnews reports that F1 driver Felipe Nasr will race in the opening round of the Florida Pro Kart Winter Series at Palm Beach. The 22-year old Brazilian will race with the Praga North America team. More detail on ekartingnews HERE.

  • VCM Performance Junior Top Guns at Oakleigh - almost all the fields have already formed a class. Enter soon as entries close next Wednesday, 14th Jan!

  • TKart reported it several days ago, now BirelART has finally made it official that Jordon Lennox-Lamb is joining the team for 2015:
    BirelART - Jordon Lennox-Lamb will be wearing the Birel ART colours for the forthcoming competition seasons. For the twenty-two-year-old British driver this marks a return to the team that adopted and launched him in 2009-2010. Lennox-Lamb, who has proved one of the most talented and competitive drivers in recent seasons, will be occupied on several fronts. In addition to the premier KZ class, he will also be on track for the various international events in the KF and Rotax classes. For the Birel ART Racing department, this agreement with Lennox-Lamb completes a team that will start the next season with big ambitions. In addition to the British driver, Birel ART Racing has also confirmed the return of Gianluca Beggio to the factory team. For the five-times World Champion, this marks a return to the team with which he achieved the major goals of his career; but this time he will leaving his helmet and overalls aside to take on the important role of General Manager of Birel ART Racing.
