In qualifying, Corey put his Tony Kart on pole position with Joel Macpherson in 8th only 2 tenths behind. Both drivers finished up the front of all the heats which put them in good positions for the final. Joel started on pole position and Corey in 12th due to a Heat 3 DNF. After a long 20 lap final, Corey grabbed the victory with Joel coming in 2nd position in their Tony Kart Racer 401R chassis. Along the way Joel also grabbed the fastest lap of the final.

Tony Kart Australia had 2 drivers in Cadet 12 with Angus Hall & Levi Dauncey. After qualifying, Angus was 10th and Levi was 36th which would put him into the repecharge race. Levi drove smart and won the race, which put him in starting position of 36 for the heats! Again, both drivers had consistent heat finishes with only Angus having a DNF (after a multikart turn one crash). Starting positions for the final were, Angus 15th & Levi 18th position. Angus then drove through to finish the final in 3rd position, with Levi finishing in 13th place.

In X30, Ben Bizzarri was not able to show his full potential in his Tony Kart Racer 401R chassis due to persistent technical engine issues. However, he never gave up and pushed on through the race meeting, which unfortunately ended with a DNF in the final race.

The winner of the 2nd round of the Victorian Country Series, Ethan Bray was racing in KA3 Junior aboard his Tony Kart Racer chassis. Ethan qualified in 9th position, then went on to have consistent heat finishes. Unfortunately, Ethan was involved in a turn 2 incident which resulted in a DNF.

Tony Kart Australia are proud of how all Tony Kart drivers performed over the weekend, with some special mentions needed for some of our team drivers.

Ben Bizzarri in X30 didn’t have good event, but he never gave up and went out every race and tried to do his absolute best job. This is something we hugely respect and are proud of having such a driver in our team. We know what Ben is capable of and it will shine through very shortly!

Another mention must go to both our Cadet 12 drivers. Levi Dauncey had to come through the repechage race in Cadet 12 and he was another driver that never gave up, and to finish in 13th place in the final is an amazing effort. Our other Cadet 12 driver, Angus Hall, had an exciting final race driving from 15th through to 4th at the line (he was 3rd after a penalty of another driver) in one of the drives of the day!

None of our drivers had an easy weekend, but none of them ever gave up and it shows in the results.
