Team PR: Tickford Trio at Power Series

Tickford Racing (Karting Division) was represented by all three Cadet 12 drivers at the Golden Power Series Round 2 Albury/Wodonga on the weekend.

It’s only the second occasion they have competed at a race meeting together and they made a terrific showing, all finishing in the top 10.

Cadel Ambrose (94) last raced at this track over a year ago at the AKC round but showed strong pace all weekend, qualifying on pole and making a clean sweep of both heats and the final.

Team mate Tyce Hodge (#85) qualified 2nd (a mere 6/100ths of a second behind!) and during some great battles and fantastic passing moves finished both heats and the final in 3rd place.

The youngest member of the team, #56 Charlie Nash, had never driven at this track before but qualified a very respectable 15th from a field of 24. In a stand-out weekend he progressed through the field with some impressive driving finishing Heat 1 in 13th, Heat 2 in 15th and 9th in the Final.

Meanwhile, at Symmons Plains Raceway in Tasmania, the Tickford Racing “bigger boys” weren’t too busy to stop & watch their younger counterparts progress on Speedhive – Mitchell McLellan may be out of a job, as Chaz Mostert kept everyone in the garage entertained with his thrilling commentary throughout the weekend!
